Overview, Skills & Responsibilities

About the role:

Responsible for managing client relationships, driving business growth through upsell/cross sell and enhancing client awareness of our product suite.

The Account Executive will contribute to revenue growth through specifically targeted sales efforts, managing a pipeline of client accounts with a view to upsell them from IPS SQL to IPS Cloud, taking them from initial qualification through to scoping and closing. The role will also involve dealing with new business leads liaising with our product specialists to scope Cloud migrations with a view to converting sales opportunities.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships as a key main point of contact for assigned small and micro clients
  • Understand client business needs, challenges and goals and respond accordingly
  • Identify growth opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Collaborating with the Commercial Director and sales team to implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Present, promote and upsell Turnkey products/services to clients
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns
  • Communicate client feedback to internal teams to enhance product and service offerings
  • Negotiate pricing and service terms to maximise revenue while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Ensure CRM and supporting tech stack is kept up to date with client comms
  • Address client enquiries and issues in a time and efficient manner
  • Support the team with sale admin duties, e.g. quote creation, contracts etc
  • Any other duties as required by the Commercial Director

Key requirements:

  • Honours degree or higher is preferable
  • Previous experience in a similar role essential, ideally in a software sales/SaaS capacity
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation abilities
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolutions skills
  • Self-motivated, goal orientated and able to work independently or as part of a team
