We are looking for a talented HR & Accounts Assistant to join our growing team and be responsible for a number of operational activities within Turnkey.

HR & Accounts Assistant – UK

The Role:

Reporting to the Director of Legal, Admin and Accounts, the HR & Accounts assistant will be responsible for a number of operational activities within Turnkey.

Turnkey have been in business for over 40 years providing technology solutions to the insolvency sector. With the implementation of a new SaaS platform, the business is now accelerating at pace in terms of growth both in the UK and internationally.

The role has a number of facets with a key focus on financial related tasks as well as supporting operational HR activities. At Turnkey we all wear multiple hats and spin many plates, it is fast, dynamic environment with great opportunities to gain experience in the core areas of running a business. We are looking for someone who is willing to adapt and assist where required.

The role will be based out of our office in East Kilbride near Glasgow.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Accounts

  • Purchase Ledger Data Processing
  • Sales Ledger Data Processing
  • Time critical generation of monthly Sales Invoices and ad hoc billings as they arise
  • Fee calculation for client quotations
  • Credit Control Review
  • Provision of renewal codes to clients on account settlement
  • Bacs Payment Routines and Direct Debit collections
  • Foreign Payments
  • Expense Routines
  • Payment Allocation and Bank Reconciliation
  • Financial Customer Database management (pricing formulas, contact details, emailshots)

Human Resources

  • Supporting day to day HR operational process such as personnel records, holidays, sickness, training and development tracking, recruitment administration and issuing contracts
  • Supporting the Chief Operating Officer manage wider HR processes such as salary and benchmarking modelling, payroll liaison and any third party co-ordination relating to HR matters
  • Provide administrative support in terms of the execution of the performance management process, including managing timetable, communications, review of documentation and capturing moderation meeting output
  • Maintain diary system for new starter ‘job chats’
  • Maternity/Paternity/Sick Pay Calculations
  • Ensure company procedures comply with all relevant employment legislation and liaise, when necessary, with Turnkey’s third party Employment Law partner
  • Oversee exit process, conducting exit interviews and managing the employment termination process
  • Provision of references

General

  • Manage internal Intranet site to ensure ongoing communications and knowledge sharing with staff in the UK and Australia
  • Support any internal events providing additional hands on help when required
  • Communications control for all external messaging to clients.
  • Supporting Exec meetings in terms of preparation of content
  • Supporting sales process in terms of quote and contract generation
  • Respond to client support tickets, where applicable
  • Facilities Management (ordering supplies, scheduling maintenance visits etc.)

Key skills required:

  • Be organised, innovative and deadline driven
  • A good multi- tasker
  • Be customer focused, a strong communicator and enthusiastic
  • Have a sound understanding of MS Office
  • Knowledge of Xero accounts package beneficial, but not essential
